Blue Debiru, born April 28th, 20XX, is a tall, muscular, and teal-colored wolverine-esque creature, learning to play with cards he’s been dealt in the terrible game of life. He is the titular protagonist of ULTRABLUE PART ONE, and ULTRABLUE: ORIGINS. Notable features of Blue are:

  • His heterochromatic eyes, his right eye being yellow and his left being dark gray

  • His usual get-up of a large white bandana that covers half his face, the scarf that covers his torso, and his baggy blue pants

  • The two large scars on his back that have yet to be canonically explained

The plot of ULTRABLUE follows Blue, as he tries to prevent his own, and everyone else’s destruction by defeated his lifelong nemesis, Tony, a demon that killed his parents and possessed his adopted mom to steal his blood art. He is known for his title as “The Strongest,” as outside of the story he’s an infamous hitman and vigilante of sorts.

SPHERE CONTROL THEORIES

His blood art, Advanced Sphere Control, allows the user to manipulate and create anything within the confines of one's own knowledge. Or at least, that’s what it might be. This will be one of the first out-of-canon explanations this index will be providing. To sum it up, Sphere Control has yet to be explained officially and canonically. But, in the world of ULTRABLUE, three people of some theories on what Sphere Control could be. Firstly, Blue’s mother Aiko, created the basic theory of Sphere Control explained above, the idea that Sphere Control is only limited by one’s own imagination, or as it’s put in ULTRABLUE: ORIGINS, “the power… limited by none!” This is also where the name comes from, the idea that you control whatever’s in your sphere, and everything on the earth bends to your whim. The second theory comes the man who wants his power himself, Tony. From everything Tony has seen, Tony believes that Sphere Control has a mind of it’s own. He believes Sphere Control bends it’s range of abilities to adapt to the current situation that Blue is in, Always keeping Blue at a slight advantage. To Tony, this explains why Blue can pull out new powers on a whim, and why he always seems to get back up even after sustaining tons of damage, to the point of losing a limb. Lastly, Blue’s theory on his own power is that his perseverance makes him stronger, and that Sphere Control’s strength is determined by how far he can push himself. He believes as long as he’s working hard and never gives up on the people he cares about, he’ll always be the strongest.
